A handful of the letters and calls we've received from the families and partners we've worked with.
The emotional stress of losing a parent I am extremely close to and then having to clean out her home of 27 years was an unbelievable task, especially since my mom lived in FL and I live in CT. My realtor referred me to The Estate Settlers and I have all great praise for what this company does. Harvey kept me posted every step of the way, sent pictures when the house was completely done, and was very sympathetic to my loss. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who needs assistance cleaning out a property. A 5-star thank you to this company!
My mother passed away last week in Hospice. It was a difficult time and somehow my sister and I came across Estate Settlers, Harvey and Emily. Their professionalism, expertise, compassion and empathy were evident from the first call with Emily. Harvey came to meet me at my mother's and told what he could do but he also told me what I should not expect. The process was easy but that's not why I would recommend them. It is their humanity in a difficult time. Thanks guys. You made it all a bit easier for my family and me.
The Estate Settlers team is very responsive and cooperative. The nuances of guardianship create little hurdles along the way, and Estate Settlers rolled with delays and difficulties. They will handle as much or as little of a project as you want, and keep the lines of communication open throughout each job. I recommend Estate Settlers without reservation.

Harvey Segal from The Estate Settlers was amazing. From the first day I met him he was professional, honest and friendly. I hired him to empty my father’s apartment after his death. That is not a fun exercise to empty a parent’s home. He made the process so simple and easy. He honored all of his commitments made during the sales process and he delivered an empty apartment perfectly broom swept clean. I trusted him 100% to take could care of the apartment and to meet are tight deadline since we were selling the apartment. I can strongly recommend him and it was a true pleasure working with him.
Working with The Estate Sellers was a dream come true, especially considering the immense stress & time constraints my family was facing. I only had about 3 weeks to drive from 4 states away, pack my mother & whatever I could fit in my car, & drive back home. Harvey came in & worked through items needing to be shipped to my mom, myself & other family members, salable items, donations, disposables & final clean out. He even took care of sorting mail that slipped through the change of address process & returned our cable equipment. My mind was a mess because of the unexpected passing of my sibling, leaving my mother with dementia living alone. Recovering from a near fatal health event myself, I was completely overwhelmed & The Estate Settlers took all the stress of moving my mother out of her house off of me. Thank goodness they do not require their clients to have a minimum amount of valuables to sell or require large deposits & charge high rates. They are super affordable, very efficient, extremely considerate & fantastic at what they do. I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with them.
Emily and her team are absolutely wonderful. This family-owned estate liquidation company is professional, trusted, experienced and very detailed. They will help with it all from start to finish.
We had 97 years of stuff left from my grandma after she passed. Harvey did an incredible job cleaning out her home with very little notice. Thank you so much for making the process so easy. Very grateful!
Harvey and Emily were a pleasure to work with, provided great service and got our clean-out done fast. They were thoughtful in their approach and the way they operated, and did a great job communicating throughout the process. Highly recommend!
Harvey helped me close out the estate of a loved one that was outside the state I live in. He saved me a huge amount of effort that would have needed a week or more of vacation time and one or more additional trips out of state. He was incredibly easy to work with and made the whole process as easy as I could have hoped for. I cannot recommend him enough.

They handled everything quickly and efficiently, requiring little to no effort on my end, which was a tremendous relief during a difficult time. Their communication was excellent, they were always friendly and respectful, and they delivered exactly what they promised. We used estate settlers to totally clean out our parents house (after they had passed) and either sell, auction or ship everything that was there and there was quite a lot. They are extremely professional and excellent in communicating with us. They do their best to get the most for each item and kept us posted every step of the way. They even cleaned out the entire house to get it ready for the new occupants and did a superb job! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to clean out a house or estate.

They then proceeding to empty all its contents making it easy for me to decide next steps. Hiring them relieved a lot of the stress during this very sad moment of our lives.

My mom recently passed away and my siblings and I had over 50 years of ‘stuff’ left by our mom and grandparents condensed into her 2 bedroom condo. We sat there for a few weeks trying to sort through it but we hit a wall both mentally and physically and realized we needed HELP. I called The Estate Settlers and Harvey quickly returned my call and met me at her condo to provide a quote. He provided a very fair price and got his crew to work cleaning out very quickly and efficiently. Great communication throughout. It made it easy, and a huge weight was lifted off of our shoulders as soon as we saw the cleaned out condo. It took a lot of stress away from us and I cannot recommend them more! Losing a loved one is hard enough without the guilt of what to do with everything else…

The Estate Settlers has been family-owned since 2010, and every family we serve is helped by people who have been through their own life transitions.
In 2010, The Estate Settlers was founded by Tina Segal and Allan Dessner. Tragically, Allan's life was cut short. To manage the overwhelming responsibilities of running the company, Tina's son Harvey stepped in to assist his mother alongside his work in the property and casualty insurance business.
As The Estate Settlers expanded, the need for a marketing specialist arose, prompting Harvey's wife Emily, with a background in Customer Service, to take on the marketing and customer experience side of the business. Since then, Tina has retired and is enjoying her well-deserved retirement.
In loving memory of Allan Dessner, co-founder.
Emily embodies profound empathy in her role. She oversees community outreach, customer service, and social media marketing with a heartfelt commitment to the overall well-being of each client. Emily's journey is deeply personal, having navigated the emotional complexities of downsizing and closing her own parent's home. That firsthand experience fuels her passion and uniquely equips her to guide her clients with genuine empathy and understanding, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
Harvey Segal started his career as a jeweler, manufacturing and retailing jewelry. He traveled with a gold buying group, purchasing precious metals and watches throughout South America. During this time, he also obtained his insurance license in Property & Casualty and Life. An unexpected turn of events led him away from the insurance industry, and he transitioned into his current role at The Estate Settlers.
Barry Gordon brings decades of experience in the diamond and jewelry industry to The Estate Settlers, having started in New York City's diamond business, owned his own jewelry repair and precious stone company, worked as a gold and diamond buyer, and led diamond sales at Macy's in Aventura. Since moving from New York to Hallandale Beach in 2005, he has built strong relationships throughout Broward County. After caring for both his wife and his mother during serious illnesses, Barry gained a deep understanding of the emotional side of life's transitions. Today, he supports families and senior communities across Broward with compassion, experience, and a steady hand during challenging times.
